Most of the folders on my computer are a jumbled mess, except for the ones in my Dropbox. I rarely clean out the Downloads folder, either, and it gets a bit of a chore after a while. So, imagine my surprise to find that you can do a second sort on the folder contents when you're in the Details view. That makes it easy to find the largest or smallest file of a given file type, or any other sorting you want. Open your folder, click on a column heading to sort by Type (for example), then Shift-click on the second column (like Date modified) you want to sort by. This will group all the file types and then do a secondary sort to show the ascending or descending order of Date modified while keeping them grouped by file type.
